The Capistrano United Coyotes defeated the Corona - Norco Stingrays 2-0 in front of nearly 2,000 fans at Honda Center to win the Division 2 Championship on Tuesday night.
The game featured a goalie duel as both Connor Duffy (Capistrano Coyotes) and Kyle Hornock (Corona - Norco Stingrays) kept the game scoreless in the first period. Capistrano scored what would be the game-winning goal in the second period on the power play and added an insurance goal midway through the third period.
Goalie Connor Duffy made 16 saves in route to his first career playoff shutout to help the Coyotes take home the H & S Ventures Cup.
